All capitalized terms not defined herein will have the meanings set forth in the Terms.

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information that is processed by Refactored Platform, the product of Company in the course of our business, including on Refactored Platform websites (“Websites”), mobile applications (“Apps”), forums, blogs and any other online or offline offerings (collectively, the “Services”). All individuals whose responsibilities include the processing of personal information on behalf of Company are expected to protect that data by adherence to this Privacy Policy. The owner of the Services is based in the United States. We provide Services for use only by person located in the United States. We make no claims that the Website, Apps or any of the content is accessible or appropriate outside of the United States.

This policy applies to information we collect:

  • On this Website.
  • In email, text, and other electronic messages between you and this Website.
  • Through our mobile and desktop applications which provide dedicated non-browser-based interaction between you and this Website.
  • When you interact with our advertising and applications on third-party websites and services, if those applications or advertising include links to this policy.
  • Through social media tools, such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Zendesk.
  • When you create video or audio recordings through our platforms.

It does not apply to information collected by:

Information We Collect About You and How We Collect It

We collect several types of information from and about users of our Website, including:

  • We capture user activity such as keyboard strokes, mouse clicks, assignments, labs and store them in our databases or other content management systems such as Azure, AWS, GoogleCloud, Basecamp, etc.
  • We collect information about your internet connection, the equipment you use to access our Website, and usage details.
  • We record your audio and video and store data in our databases and/or third-party systems such as Camera Tag, Twilio, AWS, Google Cloud,etc.
  • We conduct surveys and store the data collected through surveys in our databases, emails and/or third-party systems such as Survey Monkey, Mailchimp,etc.
  • We collect personal and professional stories and publish that information for public to see.
  • We collect code written by users and store in content management systems such as Github, Gitlab,etc.
  • We may make the data and information we collect available for public use for hiring managers, recruiters and/or for general public consumption.

  • Automatically as you navigate through the Website; or
  • From third parties, for example, our business partners.

  • Video and audio recordings done through self-service assignments, virtual classrooms, professional video recording. etc.

You also may provide information to be published or displayed (hereinafter, “posted”) on public areas of the Website or Apps transmitted to other users of the Website, Apps or third parties (collectively, “User Contributions”). Your User Contributions are posted on and transmitted to others at your own risk. Although we limit access to certain pages, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. Additionally, we cannot control the actions of other users of the Website or Apps with whom you may choose to share your User Contributions. Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that your User Contributions will not be viewed by unauthorized persons.

In the event that you create an account on Refactored (or what is called “Learning Management Platform”) for the purpose including but not limited to participate or being engaged in Xprize Program (2022) as the learner (“Learner”) that this Company joins as one of the participants, you may provide additional information specified in XPRIZE SECTION.

Information We Collect Through Automatic Data Collection Technologies

As you navigate through and interact with our Website or Apps, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about you, your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns, including:

  • Your activity such as keyboard strokes, mouse clicks, assignments, labs and store them in our databases or other content management systems such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Basecamp,etc.;
  • Information about your internet connection, the equipment you use to access our Website and/or Apps, and usage details;
  • Your audio and video recordings and store data in our databases and/or third-party systems such as Camera Tag, Twilio, AWS, Google Cloud,etc; and

XPRIZE SECTION

When you are the Learner of Xprize Program, in addition to the information we collected above, we are required by Xprize to collect the following information of yours including demographics, social security number, and household economic data including but not limited to employment status, last pay rate, and number of child dependents.

The purpose of us to join Xprize Program is to help unemployed people who is authorized to work in the United State but have barriers to obtain the employment, the Learner.

To qualify you as the Learner in XPrize Program, we must comply with the requirements and standard of Xprize Program, which requires us, as one of the participants, to submit your personal information for the purpose of verification of the Learner. The personal information will include demographics, social security number, and household economic data including but not limited to employment status, last pay rate, and number of child dependents.

You agree that we will collect your personal information including demographics, social security number, and household economic data including but not limited to employment status, last Pay rate, and number of child dependents, as a precondition of your participation of the XPrize Program. You further authorize us to release your personal information above to XPrize and the third-parties who partnered in the XPrize Program for the purpose of verification your qualification as the Learner.
